It's now Nov. 4th. I've managed to post something on only 2 out of 4 days of NaBloPoMo. Oh well. I did think of an automatic subject to post about, so I can't use 'I can't think of anything to post' as an excuse.
This photo is the mountain behind our house. The picture is taken from around the corner, not from our property. But this mountain is visible from every room in our house, except 2, and they're both bathrooms. The mountain is tall enough to affect weather patterns over it. And at least once it collected an airplane. Every day it looks different. And almost every day it is spectacular. Some days it's completely hidden by clouds. So I'm going to share with my readers, both of them, a daily picture of the mountain. At least, every day that work allows me to be present while there's enough light to get a picture.
Without the mountain, you might be subjected to reading about my new teakettle, or that I bought a gas can so we can get fuel for our new snowblower. (That's pretty exciting to me, as last winter I had to get up at 4:30 am several times to shovel the driveway enough to get out to go to work.) Or find out that I just purchased the Denise Austin 'Best Belly Fat-Blasters' workout DVD.
I've been knitting some, too. The sweater I was knitting for hubby was much too big, got frogged, and is re-started. So far it's a grey stockinette tube with ribbing on the bottom. Not much excitement there. But this one is fun to see. It's the 3 and 1 pattern cardigan I'm making for myself. My first steeked sweater.
It looks like it's tapered. That's because when I reached the point where I would have cast off for the neckline, instead I put those stitches on a piece of yarn, then cast on 6 stitches for a steek on the next round. I have a picture of it, but Typepad and I are not getting along today. It's taking a very long time to upload pictures, and I cannot figure out how to get text next to the photos rather than over them. So I'll just end it today.
